Outliers was established in 2016 as a special research group aimed at research inspired by MIT's science fiction, and has since evolved into a venture fund that supports scientist-led ventures through scientific research and collective intelligence. Outliers Blockchain Fund I/II ended with results of 16.2x/11.23x, respectively. Additionally, Outliers Blockchain Fund III has already been fully invested and is currently in the portfolio management and exit period. In 2025, it plans to raise $200 million for Blockchain Fund IV and $300 million for Scientific Fund I, and it maintains its reputation and track record as one of the most practical and scientific research-driven venture funds in the web, AI, and deep tech fields.
