Exhibition Internationalization Support Grants in Tokyo

The Tokyo Tourism Foundation is subsidizing part of the expenses for efforts aimed at increasing participation from overseas for organizers of exhibitions held in Tokyo.

The Tokyo Tourism Foundation provides grants to organizers aiming to increase the number of participants from overseas at exhibitions held in Tokyo. The program aims to strengthen the international presence of local exhibitions, promote internationalization, and contribute to regional economic development.

Requirements for grantees:

  1. You must have held exhibitions in Tokyo or are a member of an exhibition industry organization.
  2. Do not aim for political, religious, or election activities.
  3. There have been no serious legal violations in the past 5 years.
  4. There are no unpaid city taxes.
  5. You must not receive assistance from another public institution with the same content.
  6. No relationships with gangsters.

Requirements for eligible exhibitions:

  1. It must be held in Tokyo.
  2. It must be an independent exhibition not associated with meetings, etc.
  3. The main purpose is not to return results to specific individuals or organizations.
  4. Do not focus on commercial purposes (product sales, etc.).
  5. Having an internationalization promotion plan.
  6. As a general rule, it is scheduled to be held from Reiwa 6/5/1 to Reiwa 8/3/31.
  7. You must have obtained UFI certification or JECC certification, or have disclosed the number of overseas exhibitors and visitors.
  8. It must not be sponsored by a national or local government.
  9. Do not aim for political or religious activities.
  10. It must not violate public order and morals.

Grant details:

  1. Grant rate: Up to one-half of eligible expenses.
  2. Grant limit: 4 million yen per project.
  3. The maximum amount for the same organization or company within the year: 4 million yen.
  4. The maximum cumulative amount for the same exhibition: 4 million yen.

Application period:

  1. Until Friday, January 31, 2025.
