詳細を見る
Originally from Osaka, he pursued his studies at Kobe City University of Foreign Studies before transferring to the University of Texas in the United States, where he majored in Computer Science. It was there that he discovered his passion for the world of software development. In 1980, he founded Susteen, Inc., where he not only led software development but also played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s overall business strategy, marketing, and sales operations. From 1994 to 2005, he acquired and served as CEO of American Megatrends Inc., overseeing operations in both Japan and the United States. Under his leadership, the company continued to dominate the global firmware BIOS market with a 70% market share—an achievement that endures to this day. In 2000, he sold key software assets to LSI Logic for approximately 20 billion yen. In 2005, he sold BIOS technologies to Planex, a SoftBank Group company, for approximately 6 billion yen. In 2015, he demonstrated his prowess as a serial entrepreneur by selling a heart rate monitoring technology (fitness tracker) to Under Armour for 61.4 billion yen. This innovation enabled real-time heart rate tracking during physical activity and marked a significant advancement in wearable technology. He later entered strategic partnerships with major global software firms, including DELL, thanks to his development of pioneering technologies. One of his most notable inventions—a mobile data communication software—was awarded the Best Innovation Award in the United States and is currently used extensively by U.S. government agencies, including the FBI, contributing significantly to criminal investigations.
